About Me

imageKatie Sandbower Milleker is a Diplomate of Acupuncture with over 27 years of acupuncture experience and 10 years of neuromuscular therapy.  She graduated with a B.A. in International Studies from Dickinson College, and a Masters Certificate from Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MITCM) in Bethesda, MD where she studied under world renowned Traditional Chinese Medical doctors from the University of Beijing such as Dr. Jingyun Gao, Dr. Lixing Lao, Dr. Haiyang Li, and Dr. Yi Ping Hu.

Katie specializes in pain and stress management. Her expertise is treating back, knee, neck and  shoulder pain. As well, she has successfully helped countless people suffering from stress related illness.  Recently, The National Institute of Health reported "both SARS-CoV-2 and the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly affected the mental health of adults and children. In a 2021 study, nearly half of Americans surveyed reported recent symptoms of an anxiety or depressive disorder, and 10% of respondents felt their mental health needs were not being met."  Katie takes a global approach to assessing each individual's needs and thereby helps her clients achieve a healthier state.  Her integrative approach to treatment includes acupuncture, bodywork, yoga and nutrition where needed.

Her goal is to offer much more than merely pain relief to her patients. Through the careful practice of TCM acupuncture, she strives to promote natural healing.
